Open roads. Winter air. And a camera along for the ride.

The long way there.

I remember that day, I had a severe stomach ache after an unfortunate incident the previous night. We did not turn on the heater because we failed to realize that the heater was actually the air conditioner. What an eye-opener — air conditioning does not only give out cold air!

Room to breathe.

I really love this image, as you can probably tell from my social media profile pictures. This is where I really got to experience the dry winter wind that you never get in Singapore.

Worth the wait.

The day before was very gloomy. It rained heavily and we missed the beautiful scenery of Lake Wānaka and Lake Hāwea. Fortunately, this day had perfect weather, with rainbows everywhere we drove!

A moment to keep.

Lake Tekapo was definitely the highlight of my trip. The weather was perfect and I was able to try astrophotography. Unfortunately, I messed up the focus and most of the photographs of the stars turned out blurry. A good reason to come back.
